THE MIGHTY GIBBS LAB!!!!! This is the Gibbs lab, as of July, 2008. UNLV has generously provided us with 47 square feet of lab space. With our current funding, that works out to a little over $40,000 per square foot. And you thought rents in Manhattan were high! This unacceptable situation was finally rectified in August 2009. After 18 months in a box (we were told it would only be 2), we moved into a much larger lab in the new Science and Engineering Building. The down side is that we share this space with Frank. |
